Payment
Akino Atelier accepts the following payment methods:
-Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex (choose the Paypal option)
-Paypal
-Google Checkout
-US cash/money order (cashable in the US only)

Payment Upon Completion
When a cosplay has been completed, the client will be informed via email or other notification. The full balance with shipping costs must be received before shipment of the cosplay. The full payment is due within two weeks of the first notification, unless an installment or reasonable extension is requested. Akino Atelier will send up to three notifications. If the client: 1) does not respond to any of the notifications within two weeks of the first notification, or 2) requests an excessive amount of extensions up to two months with no payment (i.e. claiming to pay the next month, then the next month, and so forth but does not make a single payment), the commission will be considered void, the cosplay would no longer belong to the client and will be sold to another. A reasonable installment (i.e. payment increments such as $50 every two weeks) will not void the commission, as the client is making timely payments and is not ignoring the notification(s).

Shipping
All commissions are shipped with a tracking number via:
US residents
Regular: USPS Priority Mail (2 - 3 days shipping time)
Express: USPS Express mail (Overnight - 1 day shipping time)
International residents
Regular: USPS First Class International OR Priority Mail (6 - 10 days)
Express: USPS Express Mail (3 to 5 days)

Return Policy
Due to the nature of cosplay commissions, returns are absolutely NOT accepted. All cosplays are made to order, and are entirely made by hand. Nothing is mass-produced, all garments takes hours for Nancy to construct. The costumes are made to fit the specific client, and also can not be returned for hygienic reasons. Please finalize on exactly what size, measurements, colors, and any custom requests you would like. Please double check your measurements as that is what Nancy will work with. All orders can not be changed once submitted. All commissions are final with no exceptions.

Ordering/Commissioning
By placing an order or commission, you agree that you 1) are at least the age of 18, or have parental or legal guardian consent, 2) have fully read, acknowledge, and agree to the policies. Akino Atelier has the right to refuse service to anyone.

Commission Quotes
All accepted commission requests will be given a quote of the estimated garment price. Please note that this is only a quote, not a set final price. This is to allow the commissioner a general idea of final cost, and to request for adjustments to bring the cost lower if desired. The final cost would depend on the materials, labor, time, and effort used to construct the garment, and may be more or less than the quoted amount. For example, a client may forego pockets or accessories, or request for more luxurious fabric to be used, this would affect the final cost. Almost all the time, Nancy will stay with the quoted amount as she plans out the entire cosplay outfit for requests, in rare cases differences usually range from $10 - $50 from material/sewing costs and the client will be notified immediately.

Deadlines
All costumes and clothing take at least 8 weeks to construct. Please plan ample time before the date/event/convention you plan to wear it. Complex costumes can potentially take longer due to the details. It is recommend to set a reasonable "Due Date" on the commission form for cosplay costumes.

Rush Orders
Rush orders are subject to a $25 fee and will depend on the sewing schedule. The fee is to make it fair for clients who have placed their commissions before, as Nancy will have to set theirs aside to work on the more urgent one. The rush order may or may not be accepted depending on if there is enough time to complete it by the requested date, and if there is room in the sewing schedule to add it in.

Cancellations/Hiatus
Please let Nancy know right away if you would like to cancel your commission or wait until further notice. The deposit is non-refundable to reimburse the material costs and the commission slot, and if arranged reasonably, can be used towards another commission.

Sizes & Measurements
Nancy designs and drafts all of the patterns from scratch based on the client's measurements, a measuring guide is provided on the site. It is the customer's responsibility to measure themselves accurately for a perfect fit. Please use the Measuring Guide provided. Nancy will follow only the measurements customer provides; she is not responsible for inaccurate measurements; please try your best to follow the measuring guideline. If changes must be made, Nancy may charge a fee to alter the garment as she only worked with the measurements provided.

Unconduct Behavior
Should a customer harass, stalk, disrespect, spam, or display any sort of hostile or demeaning manner, Nancy reserves the right to refuse service. If a project has not been started on, Nancy will promptly refund the money and will add the offending customer to the blacklist. If a project has been started on, Nancy will reimburse herself for the materials used before issuing a refund and adding the offending customer to the blacklist. Please note that Nancy would be more than happy to resolve any sort of problems or concerns, and the foregoing actions would usually apply to extreme situations.

Picture Usage
By submitting a picture of you wearing a product of akino-atelier.com or allowing a picture of yourself to be taken, you are giving permission to akino-atelier.com to display and use the picture(s) for promotional activities. Your picture(s) may be used on this site, other websites, printed material, or other other forms of promotional activity. Please know that Akino Atelier will never sell, abuse, spam, or misuse your picture(s) and will use them strictly for promotional and testimonial purposes only. Please note that Akino Atelier is NOT responsible for picture theft, alterations, or any problems that may arise from your picture usage.

Security
All information submitted through this site is encrypted with SSL (Secure Sockets Layering) technology to protect your information. Akino Atelier will never share, disclose, sell, trade, or engage your information with any third party. We respect your privacy and will not compromise that information.

Copyright
Akino Atelier does not, in any circumstance, claim ownership of any licensed characters or the likeness to any character. Each character belongs to their rightful creator. Nancy is only the owner of the patterns she drew herself and is only selling her services and skills as a seamstress. If you are the original creator of any licensed character and would like a product to be removed, Akino Atelier would of course obliged.

One Seamstress/Hand-made
There is only one seamstress: Nancy. All costumes, clothing, and most accessories are made by her alone. There is no factory or heavy machinery or sweat shop; Nancy makes everything by her own hands. Nothing is mass produced, and the quality greatly exceeds those of eBay, costume shops, and China products.

Quality Assurance and Pricing
Akino Atelier uses only the finest and highest quality materials. Nancy puts much exertion into every piece made, from the details and techniques on the clothing, to the accurate replicates of cosplay costumes, down to the last button.

The prices are set to reflect the materials, time, and effort put into each piece. Nancy does NOT like to overcharge and will only set reasonable fees and prices. For example, her hats are made of top quality fleece but are relatively easy to make and low cost. For a highly detailed costume, the price would be higher to reflect the amount of dedication Nancy puts into it. She does not skimp on the details, and ensures perfection on every garment.
