Akino-atelier.com is owned and ran by Nancy L.: seamstress, designer, pattern maker, and a tiny bit of webdesigner. She has been sewing nearly her entire life, inspired by her mother, aunt, and grandmother, all seamstresses before her. Nancy loves to sew, and is constantly thinking of new ideas and new techniques to add to her repertoire. Currently she is finishing up her fashion degree from Pasadena College.

Nancy is extremely nitpicky with her work, and dedicates much time to ensure each piece is carefully crafted. She likes to take her time and not rush any work, otherwise details would be overlooked or mistakes too constantly made. To Nancy, sewing is an ongoing learning process, and she is always willing learning new techniques and styles to better her skills.
